My personal healing journey has been one of many layers. I started my career in Nursing as an R.N. for over 30 years, working in many fields both in my native Canada and in the U.S. After retiring, I became very interested in energy healing after experiencing it myself while in I was in Canada attending to my father’s prolonged illness. This led me to obtain Reiki training and I am now a Karuna Reiki Master. I have been volunteering at Salem Health on their oncology unit and have worked with over 300 patients and staff there. I continued to evolve my healing practice and pursued Shamanic practices, becoming a Certified Shamanic practitioner. My evolution in the healing arts continues to evolve since my recent trip to Egypt, which further enhanced my skills and knowledge. My trip to Egypt was more of a spiritual journey than one merely seeing the ancient sites of our ancestors. The energy of Egypt has further enhanced my abilities and infused a new way of approaching my healing practice. We are at a time in our evolution on this planet where the old ways of approaching our wounds and barriers to health and happiness must dramatically change. It is no longer acceptable to wallow in our old wounds and stories if we are to grow and heal. These old stories keep us trapped, reliving the pain and suffering of the past, which manifests in our physical and emotional bodies. It’s not just about letting go, but truly surrendering to our higher self and allowing it to guide us to our higher purpose and to live it in an authentic way.
To be clear, I do not consider myself a healer but a facilitator in sparking the healing process in others.
